Greetings From Pastor Wendy
I grew up near Philadelphia and discovered a love for both medicine and theology early on. While in college, I became a Christian and continued my path in medicine, eventually becoming a neurologist.
During my years in medicine, I felt a growing call to ministry that led me toward seminary. Over the past four years, I’ve become increasingly involved in worship leadership and have found great meaning in the United Methodist tradition.
I’m grateful to serve as pastor of Epworth Des Moines United Methodist Church and Simpson Des Moines United Methodist Church.
I’m blessed with an amazing husband, Farhad, and two wonderful children, Hannah and Cyrus.
